AUSTIN, TX (Sept. 30, 2015) – Vyopta Incorporated, the industry leader in video and web collaboration analytics, announced today the release of their 2015 Enterprise Video Collaboration Usage Report: Metrics from the Front Lines. The report provides hard, quantitative data and insights into video collaboration adoption, scale and growth within large enterprises.

“Our data shows that video collaboration usage in the enterprise has doubled over the last two years,” said Ivan Montoya, vice president of marketing and business development for Vyopta. “Technology companies are leading the way in the use of video but we are seeing higher levels of use across all major industry verticals.”

Vyopta’s vAnalytics product collects and integrates the most comprehensive enterprise video and unified communications data set in the industry. vAnalytics monitors more than 300 million video minutes per year for organizations with a combined employment of over 2.7 million people providing the basis for an in-depth analysis of video usage across multiple industry verticals.

“As an analytics cloud service provider, Vyopta is in the enviable position of having access to detailed video conferencing usage and adoption metrics,” said Ira M. Weinstein, senior analyst and partner at Wainhouse Research. “The trends revealed by the data are encouraging, and we plan to work with Vyopta in the future to provide additional analysis and insight.”

The report pulls data from 60 organizations across a wide range of industries that support video meetings from traditional conference rooms as well as video calls from computers and mobile devices. The depth and breadth of the data allows Vyopta to offer unique insights into the use of video collaboration within large enterprises. 49% of organizations in the data set have 10,000 or more employees and 90% of organizations have more than 1,000 employees.

“We are still in the early stages of video adoption within the enterprise but it’s exciting to see the emergence of ‘power player’ organizations with over 30 million minutes of annual video collaboration use,” said Alfredo Ramirez, CEO at Vyopta. “For these power players and for other enterprises, video is an increasingly important way in which people work and get things done.”
