Vyopta’s Kjierstin Layton named to board of the USDLA

Today, the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) announced its 2020-2023 board of directors, to which Vyopta’s Kjierstin Layton has been appointed.

Kjierstin has a rich history in providing technology for the needs of government and educational institutions including past roles at companies such as Tanberg, Cisco and Lifesize to name a few. She will bring a knowledge base of funding sources, sustainability practices as well as her passion for enabling distance learning to bear in her role on the USDLA board.

“Now more than ever, there’s a need for access to quality distance learning options. Technology roadmaps have been disrupted, and we must find ways to carve new paths to success. I’m passionate about my ability to serve with my fellow board members at a time when distance learning is a critical component of educational success.” – Kjierstin Layton

The USDLA board consists of a diverse group of roughly 25 professionals from distance learning practitioners and vendors to those with an academic interest in distance learning pedagogy.

The United States Distance Learning Association was the first nonprofit distance learning association in the United States to support distance learning research, development and praxis across the complete arena of education, training and communications.
