Summary
Three years ago Abbvie was spun out of Abbott as their R&D department and given the mandate to “act like a startup” in terms of technology and agility. This meant they were required to upgrade their 100-year old collaboration infrastructure to the 21st century; which meant they were starting from scratch. Despite the standard challenges Regan Earl, Collaboration Architect at Abbvie, designed and deployed a Cisco unified communications and collaboration (UCC) environment on a global-scale. Not only were Earl and his team able to able to increase adoption as compared to their previous environment, but they were able to save $3M in travel and expenses and 85K productivity hours across 28,000 employees using Vyopta’s UCC monitoring and analytics tool.
