2019 Year in Review

As we come to the end of one year and look to the beginning of another, it’s fairly common to stop, take stock, and revisit the successes. As our CEO, Alfredo Ramirez, recently said in his holiday message, 2019 was a year of growth and change for Vyopta. Standing on the cusp of a new year and a new decade, we revisited some of our major announcements of 2019.

January

We started off the year with the introduction of our Collaboration Performance Management (CPM) platform.

“CPM is big step for Vyopta to help enterprises and managed services providers of any size improve the quality and adoption of how their users collaborate, regardless of whether they use voice, video and UC technologies,” says Subo Guha, VP Product, Vyopta. “Similar to Application Performance Management (APM), CPM will become a leading category of products to automate and improve Information Technology operations.”

June

In June we expanded our integration with Cisco collaboration products and workplace transformation initiatives. Vyopta provides Cisco customers with unparalleled telemetry and insights to improve performance, grow adoption, and optimize their collaboration and workplace transformation initiatives. Key capabilities include:

  • Collaboration Performance Management (CPM): monitoring and analytics for Cisco video, voice, and messaging products.
  • Cloud registered and on-premise endpoints monitoring to allow customers to optimize their hybrid collaboration environments.
  • Workspace Insights: analytics to track room usage, reduce inefficient room bookings, and provide insights to reduce millions in wasted real estate costs.
  • People count metrics from Room Kit Series endpoints and Webex boards and people presence from legacy endpoints to get deeper insights on actual room usage.

“Cisco is focused on delivering a superior experience for their collaboration customers,” said Joe Lohmeier, Vyopta’s VP of Sales. “We are excited to partner with Cisco on this mission. Our improved offerings will help our joint customers optimize their collaboration and accelerate adoption, typically by 44%.”

July

July brought our Series B funding which allowed for expansion of the Vyopta team as well as increased investment in R&D.

“Companies are investing billions of dollars in collaboration technology and conference rooms to improve how their teams work together. Vyopta gives our customers the visibility and insights they need to fully leverage their technology investments, raise conference room utilization, and improve employee productivity,” said Alfredo Ramirez, CEO of Vyopta. “We are seeing accelerated traction with 80% growth in new and expansion business in the first half of 2019, and we look forward to working with Elsewhere Partners to improve the value we provide our customers and build a great company.”

October

October found us jetting to California for Collab Week Silicon Valley. We joined UC analysts Irwin Lazar and Dave Michels as well as multiple UC vendors and end-users to talk all things collaboration.

November

In November, we announced our upcoming support for Microsoft Teams at Microsoft Ignite in Orlando.

“As organizations transition to Microsoft Teams from Skype for Business, Vyopta will be critical in optimizing transition planning, accelerating adoption, and reducing the cost of migrating to the cloud. By providing the metrics needed to understand vulnerabilities, adoption, and performance issues across platforms, organizations gain full seamless visibility to assure UC service quality and reliability.” – Subo Guha, VP, Product & Strategy

But in between working hard to deliver new products and services to our customers, we found time for a little fun and team bonding. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. These are worth a thousand memories. So long 2019. We’re ready for you 2020.
