Vyopta Reaches First Milestone to FedRAMP Certification

U.S. General Services Administration awards
Vyopta temporary Authority to Operate (ATO),
simplifying government agency support

Vyopta, the leading provider of Unified Communications (UC) monitoring and analytics, today announced it has been awarded a temporary Authority to Operate (ATO) from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for its LI-SaaS (Low Impact Software as a Service) products.

Vyopta is currently pursuing authorization under FedRAMP for its SaaS offering. The U.S. Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.

The GSA has been a Vyopta On-Premise customer for several years, and has recently migrated to the cloud. In addition to granting the ATO, the GSA is sponsoring Vyopta’s efforts to work towards the FedRAMP certification, that will validate the security of Vyopta’s cloud environment for all U.S. federal agencies.

“This temporary ATO and GSA sponsorship brings us one step closer to full FedRAMP certification,” said Cody Bell, Director of Federal Accounts at Vyopta. “This will allow federal agencies to deploy Vyopta’s cloud service within hours to optimize video and voice performance.”

Vyopta helps governments across the globe support a wide range of mission-critical collaboration intelligence including monitoring, alerting and analytics. Vyopta’s U.S. federal government customers include Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Federal Reserve System, U.S. Courts, U.S. Senate, among others.
